One day I decided to create a russian version of Grand Theft Auto. And created GTA Tver :) It took me more than half a year (began in summer 2001). The game seems to be cool, but the ingame map is the not the dead spit of the city map, some houses are not mirrored on the map (sorry). But if you are not a tver citizen, you will not notice these defects. Check it out yourself. Tver is a russian city situated between Moscow and Petersburg.

     So, what's new in GTA Tver? Almost everything! :) Map, missions, cars, players, textures, sounds, music, logos... The player bought a Nokia 3310 cellular phone and a Bumerang pager. Now you can gone and drive russian cars - VAZ 2106, VAZ 2107, VAZ 2109, GAZ, Moskvitch, KAMAZ, ZIL, UAZ, GAZelle and non russian cars - BMW, Mercedes, Ford, Opel, F-1, Fiat, Audi, Porsche, Nissan and others. You can find boats on Volga and Tiamaka banks, also luckies can drive tank T-34 and a helicopter. Don't hurry to blow up old cars, you can sell them. If you want to work, you should better apply tver mobs - they pay well. Get in touch with them by your cellular phone or taxophones. Having weapon is desirable. You can buy it in the shop or find in the street. If you offend against law (and you will :), you'll meet tver cops. They are hazardous armed guys. You'd better escape them. You've phreaked your cellular phone and can hear cop's talks. You can escape cops by respraying your car. Watch up because some citizens are not glad to see you and want to kill you.

     First you should config your sound card. If it is not in list then choose any of them if it is compatible.

     There are 4 ways to run GTA:

8bit. 256 colors, 320x320 - for very old PCs only.

24bit. True Color, resolution from 320x320 to 800x600 and higher depending on your video card. Installs ingame driver. If it doesn't work them use next variant.

24bit (no Universal VBE). The same as 24bit, but the game will use native video card drivers. Needs VESA 2.0 or higher. Works almost with all cards.

3Dfx. High Color/True Color. The most preferable variant. Needs 3Dfx Voodoo Rush, Voodoo Banshee, Voodoo 1 or Voodoo2 video card. glide>=2.43. glide2.43 driver can be found here.
